Board of Education Goals: 
(as adopted by the Board on November 8th, 2004)

The Board of Education will provide the resources, training and leadership needed to:

  • align the curriculum with the State of Michigan's benchmarks and will review as changes occur from the State of Michigan.
  • ensure that the curriculum is fully implemented in each classroom throughout the 2004-05 School Year and each successive school year thereafter.
  • develop a computer information system (CIMS) of student performance leading to improvement by the end of the 2004-05 School Year.

The Board of Education will improve communication between the Board of Education, the staff and the community by establishing:

  • Board of Education email accounts linked to the District website.
  • Board articles in The School Observer.
  • At least five (5) positive contracts per/member per/month for the 2004-05 School Year.

The Board of Education will develop a marketing strategy to improve enrollment trends for the 2004-05 School Year.

ncaThe North Central Association salutes the students, staff and community of Oscoda Area Schools for achieving regional accreditation status for all schools in the district since the year 1999.  Oscoda Area Schools received the NCA Transitions Endorsement in April 2002 & 2008.
