Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s):
We are pleased to be able to offer an additional program for our Middle School Students for the 2001-2002 School year. Challenge classes at RMS are being established as an extension of the district's elementary STRETCH program. Math or Language Arts "Challenge" classes will extend and enrich the general grade curriculum in a variety of ways.
Placement in these challenge classes will be done in the following way: Teacher referral, parent referral, and scores on a standardized test. If you think your would benefit from a placement in a Challenge Math or Challenge Language Arts class, please fill out the enclosed parent referral form and return it to school by March 28. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's placement in these challenge courses, please contact your child's guidance counselor at 739-9107.
