Board of Education Goals: (as adopted by the Board on November 8th, 2004)

The Board of Education will provide the resources, training and leadership needed to:

• Align the curriculum with the State of Michigan's benchmarks and will
• Review as changes occur from the State of Michigan.
• Ensure that the curriculum is fully implemented in each classroom throughout the 2004-05 School Year and each successive school year thereafter.
• Develop a computer information system (CIMS) of student performance leading to improvement by the end of the 2004-05 School Year.

The Board of Education will improve communication between the Board of Education, the staff and the community by establishing:

• Board of Education email accounts linked to the District website.
• Board articles in The School Observer.
• At least five (5) positive contracts per/member per/month for the 2004-05 School Year.

The Board of Education will develop a marketing strategy to improve enrollment trends for the 2004-05 School Year.
