Open House: August 2007

Families were welcomed to Cedar Lake by our sunflower garden and friendly staff.

 

Seasons Readings: December 2007

Parents are invited to visit school to read a holiday story with his or her child. Partipants enjoyed cookie and and puch but most importantly, took some time out fo one on one reading and enjoyd a special moment during the busy holiday season.

 

Enrichment Treasure Hunt: January 2008

Students lead family members through our Enrichment Classes to complete a treasure hunt. Families learned about Math and Wellness, Language and Performing Arts and Integrated Creative Projects. A delicious and nutritious meal was served to top making this a fun and tasty event!

Sprinkler Lake Math and Science Night: February 2008

Sprinkler Lake staff came Cedar Lake on Tuesday February 26th and sponsored a Family Math and Science Night. The atmosphere was like a learning carnival. Families had over 50 boxes filled with exciting experiments to choose from. Again and again they went back to find new experiments and learn together as a family.

Sound Shakers, Toothpick Puzzles, Create A Telegram, Chicken In A Cup and Tube-A-Target were just a few of the activities to try. Some activities included utilizing most of the five senses.

The Cedar Lake students and their families had an awesome time exploring and experimenting with all of the kits.

 

Chillin' in the Igloo Day: March 2007

Families show that reading is cool by reading a books in our milk jug igloo. Families saved over 1000 clean milk jugs to build this cool reading place. Every child received a new book to take home.
