Summer Educational Opportunities
Grasp Program Oscoda Community Education has made arrangements to acquire the GRASP Program for you this summer. GRASP is a nine-week correspondence program for students in grades K-8 which helps students maintain reading and math skills while they are on summer vacation. It should take your child approximately one hour per week to complete each weekly lesson. Lessons are completed, mailed to a scoring center where they are analyzed, and then returned to you. Instruction sheets found in each packet provide all the necessary information. The enrollment fee is $27 for one subject and $47 for both. You can enroll your child by completing the form below and paying the indicated fee.

Summer Skills Program The education of our children is more important than ever before. For the approximate price of two movie tickets, you can give your child a summer of continued learning. Studies show that much of what is learned during the school year is lost over the summer months. For the past 24 years our Summer Skills Review Books have provided millions of students with a comprehensive review of materials taught the previous year. With educational demands continuously changing, children need not only a review that keeps current with State and Common Core Standards, but also gives them an academic edge and self-confidence when they return to school in the fall. These easy-to-use Math, Language Arts and Foreign Language review books serve this purpose. Taking only 15-30 minutes three to four times per week over the summer, these books provide a succinct review that is not overwhelming.
