Charging meals for grades K-8
Oscoda Area School’s Food Service Department recommends pre-payment of meals.
Pre-payment can be made in any amount. Meal charging is to be used in the event of
emergency only and is now limited to $10.00 per student.
A peanut butter and jelly sandwich and milk may be offered to students instead of a
regular school meal when they exceed the $10.00 charge limit. The peanut butter and
jelly sandwich and milk will be billed out at $1.25.
No Charging of Meals at High School
Meal charging is not allowed at the High School. The new computer system does not
allow cashiers to override and charge to meal accounts. Oscoda Area School’s Food
Service Department recommends pre-payment of meals. Pre-payment can be made in any amount.
Free and Reduced Meal Applications
Free and reduced price meal benefit applications may be completed at any time
throughout the school year. Meal applications can be completed online at
www.lunchapp.com or may be picked up at any school office.
