2007-2008 Enrichment Classes

As a part of our district's Student Success Plan, Oscoda Area Schools students in grades K-8 will participate in a variety of Enrichment Classes that will enhance classroom curriculum in the areas of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. These Enrichment Classes will replace the traditioal Art, Physical Education, Music, and Technology classes (formerly known as "Special classes") but will include and integrate key portions of their curriculum.

All classes will incorporate the use of technology as a tool to meet the State of Michigan requirements for technology. The classes offered will differ between grade levels.

2007-2008 Title I / Intervention Classes

To better meet the needs of our K-8 students, we have designed "Intervention Classes" is to increase the number of students reading at grade level.

Early in the school year an informal reading assessment will be administered to students. The information gathered from the assessments will be designed to meet the needs of students at all levels... above average, average, below average.

Teachers at each grade level, Special Education teachers, and Title I teachers will work together to differentiate instruction to better meet the needs of all of our students.

Ink Cartridges -We accept all brands of ink jet cartridges. Please send all your empty ink jet cartridges to our REMS office. The Friendship Garden A Great Way to Remember our Friends! With fall upon us, it is a wonderful time to begin work on our "Friendship Garden". The garden will be located in the area across for Room E-14. If you are interested in donating, helping or sharing any ideas, please contact Joyce Pacholka or Jackie Wrona. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.
