Goal 3: To Provide a Technology Coordination and Maintenance Program
TECHNICAL
ASSISTANCE
A Technology Coordinator has been hired by the district. All equipment receives regular inspections and routine maintenance on at least an annual basis. The Curriculum & Student Support Director and Technology Coordinator oversees the implementation of this plan.
An inventory has been developed of all technology resources. The inventory includes software, hardware, printed information and resource materials. All materials and equipment are classified, labeled, cataloged and processed at the time of their acquisition. An electronic database serves as the management system of the inventory of the district’s information technology resources. A work order system has been developed to establish and maintain a maintenance system for work orders to be received and processed in a timely matter. This system is available on our District website on the Technology Page. The work order system also serves as an accounting of the number of repairs made to equipment. The district’s insurance policy provides adequate coverage for materials and liability.
Technology resources and materials (hardware and software) are reviewed annually for value to the curriculum in supporting student learning. Those resources or materials that are no longer current or support the goals of the instructional program are withdrawn.

Time as a Resource:
Staff will apply technology to enhance their professional practice and to increase their own productivity and that of others.
Employ technology for communication and collaboration among colleagues, staff, parents, students and the larger community.
Create and participate in learning communities that stimulate, nurture, and support faculty and staff in using technology to improve productivity.
Use technology to advance organizational improvement.
Through the effective use of integration and use of technology, time will become a resource for student learning and enhancing the productivity of the school.
Day to day operations, such as attendance, grading, etc. provide us with more accurate information for planning and predicting as well as time for productive teaching. The district will continue to pursue technology that serves as tools for staff to speed up our daily processes, such as inventories, library catalogues, purchase orders, and district forms.
Policies as a Resource:
This adopted Tech Plan will serve as a guiding tool for the district.
The building Principals, District Curriculum & Student Support Director and Technology Coordinator will approve all technology purchases, software, equipment, hardware, etc. This will assure alignment with curriculum standards, School Improvement/NCA goals and technology compatibility with existing equipment. All purchases will be submitted by the building Principals to Central Office.
It is the district expectation that only District adopted and purchased software is used on District owned computers.
