Band and Musical Theater Trip

Band at the Detroit Opera House

On March 12, several Oscoda students who are involved in the Musical Theater and Band programs at OHS traveled to Detroit to visit the Henry Ford Museum and to see "The Lion King" at The Detroit Opera House.

Students and their chaperones had approximately three hours to explore the iconic artifacts at the Henry Ford Museum of Innovation, including several Presidential limousines, a fascinating DaVinci Exhibition, the bus on which Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat, a large exhibit on the history of American auto racing, and so much more. The group then traveled to Greektown for dinner at Niki's Pizza.  After dinner, the group attended the opening night performance of the Tony Award winning musical, "The Lion King" at the historic Detroit Opera House, which was spectacular in every way.

Thank you!
